Solar 21 has decided to expand its portfolio of renewable energy assets with an additional EFW development based on the strength of this sector in UK and the projected demand for EFW facilities to meet the dual targets for waste management and energy production from renewable and sustainable sources.
Solar 21 has refined its project evaluation and financial modelling methodology from over 10 years of project development and asset management. In selecting the project(s) to take forward, the asset management team considers project fundamentals such as grid connection, feedstock contracts, gate fees and land options as well as many other factors that will affect project success and deliver the objectives of the financial model and exit strategy for investors.
Once the project is selected, as per all previous projects, its valuation will be independently assessed and verified by EY or a similar consultancy firm.
